curiosity invents the cat

growing up in Germany, I developed a natural curiosity that led me to
more and more inspiring questiones. Although it is very european to think,
that curiosity kills the cat, I believe that curiosity is nothing to fear,
nothing negative at all. Instead, I understand it as the base for all human
achievement, the key to any possible door and the essential for any
contact. This is what I teach my students, too. Beside my work as an
independent graphic designer, I teach design theory at the "university of
the arts bremen", with the main focus on "desigh & ethics" and "design
& identity". To me every creative profession has a destinguished
responsibility towards the society we live in, and nowadays also towards
an international, global community. We have to make sure that
students develope some awareness for this responsibility, as well as
for their own cultural identity.
