Long-term perspective
On the interface of co-operation between the Universities of
Applied Arts Bremen and Helwan University Cairo as well as
regional and national partners an idea and platform is generated
BEYOND IDENTITY – A DESIGN AND ART CENTRE CAIRO.
Our vision captures the potentials of the Cairoanian creative
scene and turns national, local positioned skills with the
added value of »intercultural competence« to international
orientated qualification. The centre should be also a carefully
sculptured approach to the challenge of education in the
visual arts and visual communication. Cairo as a location of
well known universities sets a new sign for the exchanging
of ideas and for professional networking.
Mission
As an initiative and centre of a german/egyptian art and design
community A DESIGN AND ART CENTRE CAIRO is contact point for
intercultural dialogue-orientated (exchanging-)projects and ideas
concerning creative and artistic productions at the location of Cairo.
